
Have you heard of the “seasonality termination clause”? ( ©TandonHildebrand 2018). Clearly neither had the manager at Chelsea FC.
If your role is one that spans seasons (sports management/stars) or teachers (term dates) why not include a clause that makes it clear that any termination by either party must be in a set window? This way you would allow for the individual to find a new role before it’s too late and the employer to find a replacement for the start of the next season/term….. and no one is left disappointed.
